| Resumo | Climate change due to global warming cause increased concentration of greenhouse gases, change of temperature and precipitation. Vegetation removes large amount of carbon dioxide during photosynthesis but the amount of water becomes a limiting factor for plant growth. Suitable water content is essential for solute transport and gas, opening and closing of stomata, reagent in metabolism, thus it is an important factor for photosynthesis. Water stress is reflected in the spectral response of the plant. The remote sensing techniques allow for an analysis of this dynamic at different spatial and temporal scales. Through satellite images and vegetation indices, it is possible to monitor the changes in vegetation cover. This study aimed to relate vegetation index NDVI, SAVI and GNDVI of 2014 and 2015 with rainfall data in the pasture of Figueira Farm in Londrina, Paraná. Figueira farm has 1865.30 hectares occupied by pastures with grasses: Tanzania, colonião and marandu. It was selected randomly seven areas of pasture and it were generated three vegetation indices from two scenes of Landsat-8/OLI, referring to September 2014 and August 2015. The rainfall data were provided by SIMEPAR. The mean values of vegetation index were higher in 2015 than in 2014, associated with increased rainfall in the same period. This result showed the influence of rainfall on pasture Figueira Farm. |
